Pilot Build Co. is a construction management company formerly known as Black + Bru. In addition to developing the name, we crafted a striking new visual identity for the brand that communicated their brand story of guiding large projects to a safe harbour. By adding a playful twist to the “O” and re-imagining it as porthole or viewfinder, we paid subtle homage to the concept of a pilot boat. The new and improved typeface reflects the rugged and trustworthy values of the organization. Tough, but a little playful!
